The five things that move a price most
- Access. The single biggest variable. A tree a chipper can park next to costs a fraction of the same tree behind a locked gate with a pool in between.
- Targets. Anything below the tree that would be expensive to hit means rigging instead of dropping, and rigging is slow, careful work.
- Wood volume. Haul-off is a genuine share of the bill. Leaving rounds on site really does reduce the price — say so when we quote.
- Height and diameter. Obvious, but less decisive than access.
- Season. Spring and the weeks after a storm are peak. Winter work is usually easier to schedule.
