Tree Removal

On private residential property in most of our area, no permit is needed for a tree in your own yard. Trees in the right-of-way (between sidewalk and street), protected or heritage trees under a local tree ordinance, and anything on commercial or platted-development land are different — several cities in Tarrant County do regulate those. We check the current ordinance for your address before we quote, and we will tell you if a permit is required.

Generally only when a tree has damaged an insured structure. A healthy tree you want gone, or a dead tree that has not fallen on anything, is a homeowner expense. Once a tree is on the house, most policies cover removal from the structure plus the repair. We photograph everything before we move it so you have documentation.

We carry general liability and workers' compensation, and we will send the certificate before you book — not after. Texas does not license tree services at state level, which is exactly why the insurance question matters: if an uninsured crew damages your property or injures someone on it, that lands on your homeowner's policy.

We reschedule. Saturated ground means ruts and, more importantly, compromised anchor points and footing — nobody should be aloft in a tree in a North Texas thunderstorm. You get a call, not a no-show.

We plate or mat soft ground before anything heavy crosses it, and we ask you to flag sprinkler heads and low-voltage lighting, which do not show up on a utility locate. Some rutting is possible on saturated ground — if it happens, repairing it is on us.

Estimates in North Texas are usually within a couple of business days. Scheduled work typically runs one to two weeks out depending on season — spring and post-storm periods are busiest. Hazard situations get moved to the front of the queue.

Usually. Most residential work happens on weekdays during business hours, but we can often arrange early starts or a specific day if access, pets or gates require it. Commercial properties routinely get after-hours or weekend scheduling.
